Back in the saddle...

I think I may be back in the saddle.

I've taken quite a break from writing - both journaling and blogging. I am, however, in the midst of writing a couple of articles for publication in the Dead Beat - so maybe that's what has gotten me back thinking about updating Urns and Outs.

Many things have happened in my life since my last post. I've lost some hair and about 35 pounds, I lost my grandpa, who died in February, and lost my marriage (the divorce hearing was in January and was final in March).

I have, however, gained a new perspective on life in many ways - which tends to be the bright spot in a string of negativity. I've gained friends and gained a new outlook on my faith in God. I'm certainly blessed beyond all measure!

It being the holiday season, I tend to focus on who and what mean the most in my life - and I'm most thankful for my family and friends. They truly do mean the world to me.

Hopefully I'll be more prudent with my posts... We'll see...
